Pricing and estimates

How much does professional Christmas light installation cost?

Residential installs start at $800. The final number depends on the size of your home and the design you choose. Larger homes with long rooflines and tree lighting land higher.

What is included in the price?

Everything for the season: custom design, the lights, installation, mid-season maintenance, takedown, and storage until next year. There is no separate charge for maintenance or takedown.

How do estimates work?

Estimates are free and remote. Send your address and a photo of your home, and we send back your number. No site visit needed for holiday lighting. Landscape lighting clients can also request an in-person consultation.

Do I need to provide my own lights?

No. We supply commercial-grade lights, fit to your home, and store them between seasons. They look better, last longer, and stay out of your garage.

Booking and installation

When should I book?

As early as you can. Fall install dates fill first, and returning clients hold many of them. Request an estimate and we will give you the next open date.

How long does installation take?

Most homes take a few hours. Larger properties with extensive tree or landscape lighting take longer. We stay until it looks right.

Do I need to be home during installation?

Not usually. Many clients come home to a finished display. We confirm access and outlet locations before install day.

Is it safe to have someone else hang lights on my home?

Yes. Our crews are trained and insured, and they use the right equipment for your roofline. That is the point of hiring it out.

Do you work with HOA guidelines?

Yes. Tell us your community during the estimate and we design to meet its exterior guidelines.

During the season

What happens if lights stop working mid-season?

Call us and we fix it. Mid-season maintenance is included with every install, so a dark section is a phone call, not a project.

Takedown and storage

Do you take the lights down after the holidays?

Yes. Takedown is included and scheduled after the season. Removals begin in early January.

Where do my lights go after takedown?

Into our storage until next season. You never touch a ladder or an attic bin.

HOAs and commercial properties

Do you work with HOAs and community associations?

Yes. We light entrances, gatehouses, clubhouses, and common areas, and we send one written proposal itemized by location. See HOA and community holiday lighting.

Are you insured?

Yes. Nova Lights carries general liability and workers compensation coverage. Documentation is available on request.

Do you provide a written agreement?

Yes. Commercial and HOA work is outlined in a written proposal and service agreement covering scope, pricing, timeline, and terms before any work begins.

Permanent lighting

What is permanent lighting?

A fixed LED system mounted along your roofline that stays up year-round. You control colors, patterns, and schedules from a phone app. See permanent lighting.

Is permanent lighting the same as holiday installation?

No. Holiday lighting is installed and removed each season. Permanent lighting is installed once and used for holidays, game days, and everyday warm white.
